Wednesday Night is taking on a whole new look. Pastor Brian & I are pleased to announce that in January of 2012 we will be launching GEARS. One of the biggest needs for the church today is training in leadership. Every one who becomes a Christ follower has also become a unique member of an elite team. And by unique we mean that everyone has been placed in the body with certain spiritual gifts, talents and personalities that are critical to a church maximizing their potential and reaching their community with the good news of life change. GEARS will be the training ground to raise these future leaders up and prepare them for the work.
Why the term GEARS? Because GEARS are the internal entities of a machine that keep it functioning properly and doing the job it was created to do. Those who come through this program will be the GEARS of the church and ministry.
GEARS will be open to anyone 18 and older who are interested in finding out where they “fit” in the ministry and who are interested in being properly equipped for the job. From this we are believing that God will raise up life group leaders, worship leaders, campus pastors, future church planters and more. We are looking forward to this opportunity and we are looking forward to what God is about to do because of it.
